Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kikiform, an online service for creating ZUGFeRD-compliant e-invoices. Kikiform is a product of Technotetis UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Pohlstr. 70, 10785 Berlin, Germany.

By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

What Kikiform does

Kikiform helps freelancers in Germany create compliant e-invoices in ZUGFeRD and XRechnung format. It generates PDF/A-3 invoices with embedded XML, calculates VAT based on the information you provide, and handles the required formatting for German invoicing rules.

Kikiform does not send invoices to your clients on your behalf, file tax returns, or provide legal or tax advice.

Your account

Your account is personal. Do not share your access with others. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

We use passwordless authentication: you sign in with a single-use link sent to your email, or optionally with Google Sign-In. Keep your email account secure.

Your data

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into Kikiform — your business details, client information, invoice line items, tax rates, and VAT identification numbers. Kikiform generates invoices based on what you provide. Incorrect input leads to incorrect output. Always review your invoices before delivering them to clients.

Kikiform handles the technical structure of your invoices: the formatting, PDF/A conversion, and XML embedding. The commercial and fiscal accuracy of what goes inside is yours to verify. Whether a particular VAT rate applies to a service, whether the amounts reflect what was agreed with your client, or whether a specific legal notice is required in your situation — these are judgements that Kikiform cannot make for you. If you are unsure about the tax rules that apply to your business, speak with a tax adviser.

Your invoice data belongs to you. You can export it at any time from your account. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

Acceptable use

Use Kikiform only for lawful invoicing purposes. You may not:

  • Use the service to create fraudulent or misleading invoices
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Interfere with or deliberately overload the service infrastructure
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the service or its underlying software

Service availability

We aim to keep Kikiform available at all times. During the current beta phase, unplanned downtime may occur. We will notify you in advance of planned maintenance wherever possible.

We do not offer a service level agreement (SLA) during the beta phase.

Liability

Technotetis UG is not liable for:

  • Incorrect invoices resulting from data you entered incorrectly
  • The commercial or fiscal correctness of invoices you create, including chosen VAT rates, invoice amounts, or the applicability of any tax rule to your situation
  • Losses arising from service downtime or temporary unavailability
  • Tax or legal consequences resulting from your use of the service

Our liability is limited to cases of intent (Vorsatz) and gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), as permitted by German law. This limitation does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Intellectual property

Kikiform and its underlying software are owned by Technotetis UG. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the service.

Your invoice content and client data are yours. We make no claim of ownership over anything you create with Kikiform.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the settings page. We will remove your data within 30 days of account deletion.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, giving reasonable notice where possible.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Kikiform after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes is Berlin, Germany.
